VIII. SUMMARY The research was carried out using hybrid seeds of the cucumber called "Jaguar". The proposed objectives were to know the adequate amount of Zinc and Boron to increase the yield; determine the most favorable time for the application of Zinc and Boron, seeking to maximize the yield and economically analyze the yield of fruits according to the production cost of the treatments. The treatments were constituted by the application times at 10 and 15 days after the transplant and Folcrop Boro products in doses of 2.0 and 4.0 L / ha and Folcrop Zinc 2.0 and 4.0 L / ha. The experimental design of divided plots was applied where the large plots were the application times and the subplots the products with their respective doses and three repetitions. The averages of the treatments were compared with the Tukey test at 95% probability. All the agricultural tasks and practices required by the crop were used for its normal vegetative and physiological development, such as soil analysis, soil preparation and nursery, transplant, irrigation, hilling, fertilization, weed control, phytosanitary control, harvest. In order to estimate the effects of the treatments, plant height data were taken 35 and 45 days after the transplant, fruits per plant, fruit length and diameter, fruit weight, yield and economic analysis. For the results obtained in the experimental test on the effects of Boron and Zinc on the yield of the cucumber crop in the Babahoyo area, it was determined that the highest plant height was registered with the application time at 15 days after the transplant , being at 35 days with the use of Folcrop Zinc in doses of 4.0 L / ha and at 45 days with the use of Folcrop Boro in a dose of 4.0 L / ha; the number of fruits per plant exceeded the time of application at 15 days after transplantation using Folcrop Zinc at a dose of 2.0 L / ha; the length and diameter of the fruit reached higher averages with the application time at 15 days after the transplant using Folcrop Zinc in both doses (2.0 and 4.0 L / ha); the weight of the fruit presented favorable results with the time of application at 15 days after the transplant using Folcrop Zinc in a dose of 4.0 L / ha and the highest yield of the crop was obtained with the application time at 15 days after the transplant using Folcrop Zinc in doses of 2.0 L / ha with 11679.3 kg / ha and greater net benefit with $ 4712,64. dc.description.abstractVII.
