Considering that as a society we must show humanism towards adolescents since the use of cannabis intervenes in the models of family organization and cultural beliefs. dc.description.abstract	En el presente informe final del proyecto de investigación CONSUMO DE CANNABIS Y SUS EFECTOS COGNITIVOS EN JÓVENES ATENDIDOS EN EL SERVICIO ESPECIALIZADO DE PROTECCIÓN ESPECIALE (SEPE) EN EL CANTÓN BABAHOYO PROVINCIA LOS RÍOS. Se da a conocer el panorama de vida de los jóvenes que tienen dificultades en el área cognitiva, por el consumo del cannabis Para la recopilación y análisis de datos se utilizó el método científico, apoyado de los métodos analítico, descriptivo, inductivo que sirvieron para la recopilación y análisis de la información, además de técnicas como la encuesta. El consumo de cannabis es la problemática que con mayor intensidad y frecuencia se presentan en el SEPE. Este tipo de droga ilegal sin lugar a duda deja huellas más que las del consumo de alcohol provocan baja autoestima, aislamiento, depresión, estrés emocional e deterioro cognitivo. El SEPE es una Institución que ofrece dar una mejor calidad de vida y ayuda a los jóvenes, porque en su mayoría tiene diferente tipos de problemas, y actualmente dificultades en el área cognitiva por el uso constante de cannabis, esto ocasiona las dificultades en el aprendizaje. Considerando que como sociedad debemos mostrar humanismo hacia los adolescentes ya que el consumo de cannabis interviene los modelos de organización familiares las creencias culturales.
