| dc.description | Fatty liver disease is defined by the presence of fatty infiltration in the liver that does not occur due to alcohol consumption, but rather due to other secondary causes of chronic liver disease. (Farias, 2017). This clinical condition comprises a broad spectrum of liver damage extending from steatosis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, fibrosis to cirrhosis. Most patients usually remain asymptomatic until the development of cirrhosis, considered the last stage of the disease. (Farias, 2017). This clinical case was carried out on a 47-year-old male patient who was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of fatigue, weakness, upper right abdominal pain and jaundice in the eyes. The objective of this case is to identify the nutritional status of the patient through anthropometric indicators (ABCD). The line of research with which the case was developed is health and well-being. The nutritional status of the patient was assessed, where it was observed that he has morbid obesity, for which a nutritional plan equivalent to 1689.2 kcal was created. The patient was followed up, showing that his way of eating has changed, and he also managed to lose weight. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La enfermedad de hígado graso se define por la presencia de infiltración de grasa en el hígado que no se da por el consumo de alcohol, si no por otras causas secundarias de enfermedad crónica hepática. (Farias, 2017). Esta condición clínica que comprende un amplio espectro de daño hepático que se extiende desde esteatosis a esteatohepatitis no alcohólica, fibrosis hasta cirrosis. La mayoría de los pacientes suelen permanecer asintomáticos hasta el desarrollo de cirrosis, considerado el último estadio de la enfermedad. (Farias, 2017). Este caso clínico se le realizo a paciente de sexo masculino de 47 años de edad que es ingresado al hospital, con síntomas de fatiga, debilidad, dolor abdominal en la parte superior derecha e ictericia en los ojos. El objetivo de este caso es Identificar el estado nutricional del paciente a través de los indicadores antropométricos (ABCD), La línea de investigación con la que se desarrolló el caso es salud y bienestar. Se valoró el estado nutricional del paciente en donde se pudo observar que tiene obesidad mórbida, el cual se le creo un plan nutricional equivalente a 1689,2 kcal. Se le realizo el seguimiento al paciente evidenciando que ha cambiado su forma de alimentarse, además logro perder peso. | es_ES |
