dc.descriptionThe present research work addressed the topic related to the Google Classroom platform as a teaching and learning tool for high school students in computer science at the “Vinces” Educational Unit. For this purpose, the starting point was a problem that showed that ICTs are not being adequately incorporated in the institution, proving to be a weak point for the academic performance of students, which is why the research aimed to determine the impact of Google Classroom as a learning tool in the academic performance and participation of high school students in computer science at the “Vinces” Educational Unit. The methodology used included a mixed approach, with a descriptive, exploratory and explanatory level, where the research source was documentary, the sample included simple random sampling, obtaining a total of 170 students to whom a survey on ICTs and Google was applied. Classroom. The results showed that the students have a medium-high level of knowledge about information and communication technologies and their importance and also that the implementation of Google Classroom allows them to have better control over the study materials and better interaction between students. teachers and students. dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación abordó la temática relacionada con la plataforma Google Classroom como herramienta de enseñanza y aprendizaje en los estudiantes de bachillerato en informática de la Unidad Educativa “Vinces”. Para efecto, se partió de una problemática que evidenció que las TICs no están siendo incorporadas de manera adecuada en la institución, evidenciándose como un punto débil para el desempeño académico de los estudiantes, motivo por el cual la investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el impacto de Google Classroom como herramienta de aprendizaje en el desempeño académico y la participación de los estudiantes de bachillerato en informática de la Unidad Educativa “Vinces”. La metodología utilizada comprendió un enfoque mixto, con nivel descriptivo, exploratorio y explicativo, donde la fuente de investigación fue documental, la muestra comprendió el muestreo aleatorio simple obteniendo un total de 170 estudiantes a los cuales se les aplicó una encuesta sobre las TICs y Google Classroom. Los resultados mostraron que los estudiantes cuentan con un nivel de conocimiento medio – alto sobre las tecnologías de información y comunicación y sobre su importancia y también que la implementación de Google Classroom permite tener un mejor control sobre los materiales de estudio y una mejor interacción entre los docentes y estudiantes. Finalmente, la presente investigación concluyó que las variables se encuentran relacionadas entre sí y se comprobó la hipótesis de que la herramienta Google Classroom tiene un impacto positivo en el desempeño académico de los estudiantes, viendo necesario realizar evaluaciones periódicas para garantizar un aprendizaje efectivo.es_ES
