dc.descriptionTourism training is of great interest in this sector, in order to increase the activity and competitiveness of the establishments in the Ventanas Canton. The objective of this research was to identify the training needs of tourism providers in this area, to promote the improvement of the quality of services. An exploratory research methodology was used, with a quantitative approach, allowing the use of the method for convenience, managing to survey 20 tourist establishments in this town. Where eighty-five percent of those surveyed stated that they would always agree to provide training to their staff, while fifteen percent indicated that it is sometimes necessary to improve the quality of their services and the performance of their workers. Therefore, service providers are recommended to manage a training plan aimed at their staff to improve the quality of the service that covers; customer service training, etiquette and protocol training, food and beverage training, first aid training, and cultural awareness training. dc.description.abstractLas capacitaciones turísticas son de gran interés en este sector, para poder aumentar la actividad y competitividad de los establecimientos del Cantón Ventanas. El objetivo de esta investigación fue, Identificar las necesidades de capacitación de los prestadores turísticos de esta zona, para fomentar la mejora de la calidad de los servicios. Se empleó una metodología de investigación exploratoria, con enfoque cuantitativo, permitiendo acogerse, al método por conveniencia, logrando encuestar a 20 establecimientos turísticos de esta localidad. Donde el ochenta y cinco por ciento de los encuestados, manifestaron que siempre estarían de acuerdo en realizar capacitaciones a su personal, mientras que el quince por ciento, indicó que a veces es necesario para mejorar la calidad de sus servicios y desempeño de sus trabajadores. Por lo tanto, se recomienda a los prestadores de servicios gestionar un plan de capacitaciones dirigido a su personal para mejorar la calidad del servicio que abarque; capacitación de atención al cliente, capacitación de etiqueta y protocolo, capacitación de alimentos y bebidas, capacitación de primeros auxilios y capacitación en sensibilización cultural.
