| dc.description | The regularisation of tourism providers is of vital importance for the sustainable development of the sector and the improvement of the quality of the services offered; however, a great disinterest on the part of entrepreneurs is identified for keeping their permits for the tourist operation in order. The objective of this research is to identify the factors that prevent the regularisation of tourism companies in the City of Babahoyo, from a qualitative and quantitative approach with the participation of twenty companies chosen by the recognition they have in the City according to the offer provided for the application of a survey that allows to know the limitations they have at the time of carrying out the procedures for obtaining the tourism registration. At the same time, a documentary investigation of the existing regulations for the tourist operation in Ecuador was carried out; in order to analyse the processes necessary to obtain the respective permits. According to the findings, it was identified that one of the biggest obstacles faced by service providers when legalising their businesses is ignorance, a situation that generates a perception of bureaucracy in the leaders of the City's tourism companies to legalise their establishments. This research is expected to contribute positively to the community, in order to provide timely information to improve the rates of tourism companies registered in the City's cadastre. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La regularización de los prestadores turísticos es de vital importancia para el desarrollo sostenible del sector y la mejora de la calidad de los servicios ofrecidos; sin embargo, se identifica un gran desinterés por parte de los empresarios por mantener en regla sus permisos para la operación turística. El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar los factores que impiden la regularización de las empresas turísticas en la Ciudad de Babahoyo, desde un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo con la participación de veinte empresas escogidas por el reconocimiento que tienen en la Ciudad de acuerdo a la oferta brindada para la aplicación de una encuesta que permita conocer los limitantes que tienen al momento de realizar los trámites para la obtención del registro de turismo. Al mismo tiempo se realizó una investigación documental de la normativa existente para la operación turística en el Ecuador; con la finalidad de analizar los procesos necesarios para obtener los permisos respectivos. De acuerdo con los hallazgos se identificó que uno de los mayores obstáculos a los que se enfrentan los prestadores de servicios al momento de legalizar sus negocios es el desconocimiento, situación que genera una percepción de burocracia en los dirigentes de las empresas turísticas de la Ciudad para legalizar sus establecimientos. Se espera que esta investigación contribuya de manera positiva en la comunidad, con el fin de brindar información oportuna para mejorar las tasas de empresas turísticas registradas en el catastro de la Ciudad. | es_ES |
