| dc.description | This case study has as its theme: "statistical analysis of hotel occupancy in the city of Babahoyo", its general objective was to determine hotel occupancy in the city of Babahoyo through a statistical analysis, seeking to comply with the research line of tourism planning and management. The methodology applied in this case study was descriptive and documentary, with a quantitative approach. The technique for data collection was the survey, whose instrument was the questionnaire, the results obtained showed that there is a correlation with the increase in tourism demand when there are cultural and sporting events, among others in the canton, as well as that the quarter with the highest demand is between the months of October to December and the lowest demand in the quarter from January to March. In conclusion, hotel occupancy in Babahoyo needs the development of strategies to promote the tourist, ecological and gastronomic attractions, with the development of events that attract the attention of tourists and travelers of the town, as well as to generate a guide that provides information in hotels so that guests know about the tourist attractions of the canton and how to acquire these plans | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente caso de estudio tiene como tema: “análisis estadístico de la ocupación hotelera en la ciudad de Babahoyo”, tuvo como objetivo general determinar la ocupación hotelera en la ciudad de Babahoyo a través de un análisis estadístico, buscando cumplir con la línea de investigación de planificación y gestión turística. La metodología que se aplicó en el presente caso de estudio fue de tipo descriptiva, además de ser documental, con un enfoque cuantitativo. La técnica para la recolección de datos fue la encuesta, cuyo instrumento fue el cuestionario, los resultados obtenidos permitieron conocer que existe una correlación con el aumento de la demanda turística cuando hay eventos culturales, deportivos, entre otros en el cantón, así como también que el trimestre con mayor demanda se sitúa entre los meses de octubre a diciembre y la menor demanda en el trimestre de enero a marzo. Concluyendo que la ocupación hotelera del cantón Babahoyo necesita del desarrollo de estrategias para potenciar los atractivos turísticos, ecológicos y gastronómicos, con el desarrollo de eventos que llamen la atención a turistas y viajeros de la localidad, así como también generar una guía que brinde información en los hoteles para que los huéspedes conozcan sobre los atractivos turísticos del cantón y como adquirir estos planes. | es_ES |
