| dc.description | Talking about parenting styles emphasizes the way in which parents teach and educate their children and how the relationship between them favors or disfavors the evolutionary development of the child in all areas of life. On the other hand, assertiveness is the ability that individuals develop to communicate effectively. This is how the need arises to address the present descriptive research topic "Parenting styles and development of assertiveness in children of the Los Chapulos sector, city of Quevedo-province of Los Ríos, with the objective of establishing the influence of parenting styles and the development of assertiveness in children of the "Los Chapulos" sector, city of Quevedo, province of Los Ríos, establishing the influence of parenting styles and the development of assertiveness in children of the "Los Chapulos" sector, city of Quevedo, Los Ríos province, establishing in the first instance the types of parenting styles exercised by parents towards their children, followed by an evaluation of the level of assertiveness developed by the children and some factors that influence their relationship with their children. The present research work was carried out under the exhaustive search of articles and scientific journals, which provided viable information to theoretically support the study variables. This study had a sample of 50 children as the study population, for data collection the Steinberg parenting styles scale was used; the Rathus assertiveness test, which provided the data for the study. For data processing, it was done by means of manual tabulation, which allowed the results obtained to be systematically presented. In this study it is concluded that parenting styles influence the development of assertiveness, being their types what allow the development of different ways of communicating between children and parents. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El hablar de estilos de crianzas se hace énfasis a la forma en que los padres enseñan y educan a sus hijos y en como la relación que ambos conllevan favorece o desfavorece el desarrollo evolutivo del niño en todos sus ámbitos de vida. Por otra la asertividad es la habilidad que desarrollan los individuos para comunicarse de forma eficaz. Es así como surge la necesidad de abordar el presente tema de investigación descriptiva “Estilos de crianza y desarrollo de la asertividad en niños del sector Los Chapulos, ciudad de Quevedo-provincia de Los Ríos, con el objetivo de establecer la influencia de los estilos de crianzas y el desarrollo de la asertividad en los niños del sector “Los Chapulos” ciudad de Quevedo, provincia de Los Ríos, estableciendo en primera instancia los tipos de estilos de crianza que ejercen los padres hacia sus hijos, seguido de una evaluación del nivel de asertividad que han desarrollado los niños y algunos factores que inciden en su relación. El presente trabajo de investigación se llevó a cabo bajo la búsqueda exhaustiva de artículos y revistas científicas, misma que proporcionaron información viable para fundamentar de forma teórica las variables de estudio. Este estudio tuvo como muestra a 50 niños como población objeto de estudio, para la recolección de datos se utilizó la escala de estilos de crianza de Steinberg; el test de asertividad de Rathus, mismo que proporcionaron los datos del estudio. Para el procesamiento de datos, se lo realizó mediante una tabulación manual, mismo que permitieron llevar los resultados obtenido de forma sistemáticas. En este estudio se concluye que los estilos de crianzas influyen en el desarrollo de la asertividad, siendo el estilo de crianza autoritario el que favorece el desarrollo de la asertividad. | es_ES |
