dc.description | Knowing and understanding the violent content of digital media is essential to take protective measures in terms of privacy, security and well-being. This knowledge helps us to be critical and reflective about the impact of such content on society. In addition, it is important to recognize the negative impact on mental health, such as anxiety and stress, as well as the development of aggressive behaviors and reduced empathy. Regulation and public policy are critical to protect users from inappropriate content and hold digital platforms accountable for monitoring and filtering violent content. Media education and careful selection of content are important to foster proper understanding of shared messages and avoid desensitization. In Ecuador, there is a prevalence of violent and intimacy content on digital platforms, which generates a lack of consideration for the people involved and the need to address this problem. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | Conocer y comprender el contenido violento de los medios digitales es esencial para tomar medidas de protección en términos de privacidad, seguridad y bienestar. Este conocimiento nos ayuda a ser críticos y reflexivos sobre el impacto de dicho contenido en la sociedad. Además, es importante reconocer el impacto negativo en la salud mental, como la ansiedad y el estrés, así como el desarrollo de conductas agresivas y la reducción de la empatía. La regulación y las políticas públicas son fundamentales para proteger a los usuarios de contenido inapropiado y responsabilizar a las plataformas digitales en el monitoreo y filtrado de contenido violento. La educación mediática y la selección cuidadosa de contenido son importantes para fomentar una comprensión adecuada de los mensajes compartidos y evitar la desensibilización. En Ecuador, se observa una prevalencia de contenidos violentos y de intimidad en las plataformas digitales, lo que genera una falta de consideración por las personas involucradas y la necesidad de abordar este problema. | es_ES |
