| dc.description | In this institution of higher education (IES) with the purpose of better managing the information of the different processes generated in the training of professionals, an integral academic system (SAI-UTB) was implemented, which helps the automation and management and consolidation of information. Aspects such as the availability and integrity of this information is faced with various risks such as system failures, errors by the personnel responsible for processing this data, cyber attacks, deterioration of equipment, natural disasters, among others, which give way to the need for backup and recovery mechanisms for the information stored in this computer system. Given the importance of the recovery mechanisms we can consider some relevant aspects to take into account to give effectiveness to the backups of information generated by the integral academic system of the UTB: How do the mechanisms of backup and recovery of information influence the integral academic system of the Technical University of Babahoyo?. The information backup mechanisms that currently exist in the Directorate of Information Technologies and Systems (DTSI) of the UTB are handled locally, only the data that are considered of greater value for the operation of the system are backed up, the execution times of the backups do not contribute to mitigate the loss of information in the least amount possible. Analyzing healing techniques and healing information as a remedy to risk situations in the general education system of the Universidad Tecnológica de Babahoyo. As an ever-changing digital environment becomes possible, we advocate strategies to improve data discovery and retrieval. The essence of the modern university is the automation and virtualization of all tasks and activities. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | En esta institución de educación superior (IES) con el propósito de gestionar de mejor manera la información de los diferentes procesos que se generan en la formación de profesionales, se implementó un sistema académico integral (SAI-UTB), el cual ayuda a la automatización y gestión y consolidación de la información. Aspectos como la disponibilidad e integridad de esta información se enfrenta a diversos riesgos como lo son fallos del sistema, errores por parte del personal responsable del tratamiento de estos datos, ataques cibernéticos, deterioro de los equipos, desastres naturales, entre otros, que dan paso a la necesidad de contar con mecanismos de respaldo y recuperación de la información almacenada de este sistema informático. Dada la importancia de los mecanismos de recuperación podemos considerar algunos aspectos relevantes a tomar en cuenta para dar efectividad a los respaldos de información generada por el sistema académico integral de la UTB: ¿Como los mecanismos de respaldo y recuperación de información influyen en el sistema académica integral de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo?. Los mecanismos de respaldo de la información que existen actualmente en la Dirección de Tecnologías y Sistemas de Información (DTSI) de la UTB se manejan de forma local, solo se respaldan los datos que se consideran de mayor valor para el funcionamiento del sistema, los tiempos de ejecución de los respaldos no contribuyen en mitigar la perdida de información en la menor cantidad posible. El analizar técnicas de curación e información curativa como remedio ante situaciones de riesgo en el sistema de educación general de la Universidad Tecnológica de Babahoyo. A medida que se hace posible un entorno digital en constante cambio, abogamos por estrategias para mejorar el descubrimiento y la recuperación de datos. La esencia de la universidad moderna es la automatización y virtualización de todas las tareas y actividades. | es_ES |
