dc.descriptionEducation today is directed towards the integral development of students in order to place them at the forefront in the different scenarios in which it operates; For this reason, the purpose of this research work is to analyze how reading techniques favor the development of critical thinking in the students of the Melvin Jones Unit, intending to contribute to their development; will focus on the quality of feasible projects, proposing and implementing theoretical principles that can be implemented in the medium term, through field and documentary research that allowed information to be collected through surveys of 30 students whose results allowed us to meet background the research problem and thus it was concluded that students are limited in their ability to have a prospectus for a text, since they failed to capture the essential elements of reading techniques within it, such as the message, the main idea or secondary ideas, meaning of words or phrases, among other aspects; In the same way, in the development of critical thinking, it is evident that students do not express their points of view, when arguing or when giving their conclusions, references to a topic under study, clearly reflecting the little work that is done in terms of these two themes described.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa educación en la actualidad se direcciona hacia el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes a fin de situarlos a la vanguardia en los distintos escenarios en los que se desenvuelva; por ello el presente trabajo investigativo tiene como finalidad analizar como las técnicas de lectura favorecen el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en los estudiantes de la Unidad Melvin Jones, pretendiendo contribuir al desarrollo de los mismos; se enfocará en la calidad de los proyectos factibles, proponiendo e implementando principios teóricos que puedan ser aplicados a mediano plazo, por medio de una investigación de campo y documental que permitió recabar la información a través de las encuestas a 30 estudiantes cuyos resultados permitieron conocer a fondo el problema de investigación y así se concluyó que los estudiantes están en su capacidad de tener un prospecto de un texto, puesto que no logran captar los elementos esenciales de las técnicas de lectura dentro del mismo como por ejemplo el mensaje, la idea principal o ideas secundarias, significado de palabras o frases, entre otros aspectos; del mismo modo en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico se evidencia que los estudiantes no emiten su puntos de vista, al momento de argumentar o al momento de dar sus conclusiones referentes a un tema en estudio, reflejando claramente el escaso trabajo que se hace en cuanto a estas dos temáticas descritas.es_ES
