| dc.description | Depression is immersed in the classification of unipolar mood disorders that have repercussions on other social and personal areas of an individual, with the older adult population being the most vulnerable and likely to suffer from this disorder, hindering any type of pleasure. received from the outside, also as the approach to this symptomatology is very common within psychology; however, in this population other implications such as cognitive deterioration are affected. Cognitive impairment is those alterations in the main mental functions of an individual and it encompasses behavioral and neurological aspects, the main ones that we can mention are memory, attention, language and execution, according to the results of this case study it is shown. As the affected areas of the elderly are memory and attention, however, with constant support from caregivers, family members and children, this cognitive deterioration can be slowed down or at least it is intended that it does not affect the areas that do not are relatively affected. Depression contains a number of signs and symptoms that tend to be even more noticeable in the older adult population, impairing the ability to share moments with friends, family and those people who care about said population. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La depresión se encuentra inmersa en la clasificación de los trastornos del estado d animo unipolares que los mismo repercuten en otras áreas sociales y personales de un individuo siendo la población adulta mayor quienes son más vulnerables y propensos a padecer de este trastorno obstaculizando cualquier tipo de agrado recibido por el exterior, también al ser muy común dentro de psicología el abordamiento de esta sintomatología sin embargo, en dicha población se ven afectadas otras implicaciones como el deterioro cognitivo. El deterioro cognitivo son aquellas alteraciones en las principales funciones mentales de un individuo y el mismo engloba aspectos conductuales y neurológicos en los principales que se podemos mencionar son memoria, atención, lenguaje y ejecución, de acuerdo a los resultados del presente estudio de caso se muestra como las áreas afectas de la adula mayor son la memoria y la atención, sin embargo con un acompañamiento constante por parte de cuidadores, familiares e hijos se puede ir enlenteciendo este deterioro cognitivo o al menos se pretende que no logre afectar a las áreas que no están relativamente afectadas. La depresión encierra un sin números de signos y síntomas que suelen ser notarios aun mas en la población adulta mayor, perjudicándole la capacidad de lograr compartir momentos con amigos, familiares y aquellas personas que estiman a dicha población. | es_ES |
