| dc.description | Burnout syndrome or also called burnout syndrome at work is a problem that is mainly present in professionals with a higher workload and lack of coping resources, which causes their mental health to be affected. And therefore the worker's lifestyle deteriorates, bringing with it repercussions on both a physical and mental level. That is why this case study addresses this problem in terms of how burnout affects the mental health of a 40-year-old police officer from the Puebloviejo canton, where bibliographic references from other authors who have already studied burnout will be investigated. Its main stressors. For this case study, a descriptive type of research was implemented that will contribute to describing the stressors, consequences and levels of stress that affect the mental health of this police officer. The approach is mixed so it includes qualitative and Quantitative, the techniques applied were: Initial interview, Clinical history, Clinical observation, MBI Inventory (Maslach Burnout Inventory), Beck Depression Inventory. The results obtained in this investigation made it possible to obtain a presumptive diagnosis. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El síndrome burnout o también llamado síndrome de estar quemado en el trabajo es un problema que principalmente está presente en los profesionales con más volumen en cuanto a su carga laboral y con falta de recursos de afrontamiento, lo que desencadena que su salud mental se vea afectada y por ende el estilo de vida del trabajador se deteriore trayendo consigo repercusiones tanto a nivel físico como mental. Es por ello que en el presente estudio de caso se aborda esta problemática en cuanto a cómo incide el burnout en la salud mental de un policía de 40 años del cantón Puebloviejo, en donde se investigará referencias bibliográficas de otros autores que ya han estudiado el burnout y los principales factores estresantes del mismo. Para el presente estudio de caso se implementó la investigación tipo descriptiva que contribuirá a describir los factores estresantes, las consecuencias y niveles de estrés que inciden en la salud mental de este servidor policial, el enfoque es mixto por lo que comprende técnicas de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo, las técnicas aplicadas fueron: Entrevista inicial, Historia clínica, Observación clínica, Inventario MBI (Maslach Burnout Inventory), Inventario de depresión de Beck. Los resultados obtenidos en esta investigación posibilitaron obtener un diagnostico presuntivo. | es_ES |
