dc.descriptionWeightlifting has become a sports alternative that has generated multiple joys to Ecuadorian sport in turn that has added popularity worldwide. The Sports Federation of Los Ríos has weightlifting as a sport. In the research, the following objectives were proposed, to identify the relationship between the pectoral muscle tear and the techniques used by athletes belonging to the Sports Federation of Los Ríos in the Babahoyo canton. The methodology of descriptive research and qualitative research was used, with a sample of 50 people. The results were given in 44% have been training between 3 and 4 years, 30% have experienced injuries in the last year, the main cause was lifting heavy load incorrectly with 40%. 38% are always under the supervision of coaches. 26% have taken courses to improve their technique, 48% always use protective equipment. 100% indicate willingness to receive training to improve their weightlifting technique. The conclusion reached in the research was that athletes who train in the Sports Federation have access to coaches who provide them with knowledge and techniques focused on developing their skills. There is a direct relationship between the technique and the number of injuries present among athletes who perform their activities in the Sports Federation of Los Ríos, a bad technique is a cause of chest injury.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl levantamiento de pesas se ha convertido en una alternativa deportiva que ha generado múltiples alegrías al deporte ecuatoriano a su vez que ha sumado popularidad a nivel mundial. La Federación Deportiva de Los Ríos cuenta con el levantamiento de pesas como modalidad deportiva. En la investigación se plantearon los siguientes objetivos, identificar la relación entre el desgarro muscular de pectorales y las técnicas utilizadas por los deportistas pertenecientes a la Federación Deportiva de Los Ríos en el cantón Babahoyo. Se utilizo la metodología de investigación descriptiva e investigación cualitativa, con una muestra de 50 personas. Los resultados se dieron en un 44% llevan entrenando entre 3 y 4 años, un 30% han experimentado lesiones en el último año, la causa principal fue levantar carga pesada de manera incorrecta con un 40%. El 38% se encuentra siempre bajo la supervisión de entrenadores. El 26% han realizado cursos para mejorar su técnica, el 48% usan siempre equipo de protección. El 100% indica estar dispuesto a recibir capacitaciones para mejorar su técnica de levantamiento de pesas. La conclusión a la que se llegó en la investigación fue que los deportistas que entrenan en la Federación deportiva cuentan con el acceso a entrenadores que les brindan conocimientos y técnicas enfocadas en desarrollar sus habilidades. Existe una relación directa entre la técnica y la cantidad de lesiones presentes entre los deportistas que realizan sus actividades en la Federación deportiva de Los Ríos, una mala técnica es causa de lesión pectoral.es_ES
