The consumption of turkey meat in Ecuador is seasonal in the last months of the year, so this is considered a little exploited market during the first months of the year. Therefore, the objective of this study is to synthesize information on the production and marketing of turkeys with the purpose of presenting strategies in the management of breeding that allow improving the living conditions of turkeys to avoid situations that affect their well-being. In addition, to Implement the consumption of meat through the exhaustive study of the nutritional value, highlighting its health benefits. The most commercialized species in Ecuador is the large double-breasted white, which is raised in intensive and semi-intensive systems for commercial purposes. The breeding of this species is a commercially productive activity due to the characteristics of the species, which includes: the rusticity that the bird has in its breast and thighs, making turkeys a species that can help the industry produce an animal protein. of high healthy quality and affordable costs. dc.description.abstractEl consumo de la carne de pavo en el Ecuador es estacional en los últimos meses del año por lo que se considera a este un mercado poco explotado durante los primeros meses del año.
