Currently, bananas are the first globalized product of the modern world and continue to be the most exported fruits, the most consumed and one of the main products that make up the daily movement in the international market. The objective was to characterize the efficiency of foliar nutrition in the cultivation of Banana (Musa paradisiaca) in Ecuador. The conclusions determined that the application of foliar fertilizers is complementary to edaphic fertilization, which leads to the reduction of nutritional deficiencies of the crop. Banana being the most important crop at the national level, it promotes a massive economic movement not only directly in the agricultural sector but also in collateral industries such as cardboard, plastics, agricultural inputs, among others; Nutrition plays a fundamental role in this crop to not only maintain but increase the yields that the country currently has approximately 2,600 boxes year-1, a figure that is lower than the average of other exporting countries of this fruit; The application of foliar fertilizer in banana cultivation is to maintain a constant and balanced nutrition with synthetic minerals and at the same time allow the plant, by having a nutritional balance, to remain healthy and protected in times where the incidence of diseases that attack the crop is permanent, the main benefit of fertilizer in agriculture is that as long as the plant maintains a good level of nutrition, its susceptibility will not be distorted by the attack of diseases such as black Sigatoka and with adequate foliar nutrition the quality of the fruits obtained is maintained. that can generate greater income, since greater economic value is given to the products, through the use of this type of foliar fertilizers.es_ES
