| dc.description | Through the current case study, the topic of depression is developed and the biological, psychological and social factors that are involved in this mental disorder are explained in detail, the main objective of this project was to determine the degree of depression that an adult over 77 years of age from the San Carlos parish came to present. In this case study, mixed research was used as a method, contributing with knowledge from its qualitative and quantitative approach, which enabled us to address the variables of the subject, in addition to the fact that they are located involved in various topics in this investigation, with the use of techniques according to the process such as: the semi- structured interview, clinical history, psychometric batteries as research tools which are: Beck Depression Inventory, Yesavage Scale for Geriatric Depression determining that the elderly suffer from 296.22 (F32.1 ) Moderate single-episode Depressive Disorder. In addition, the psychotherapeutic plan was implemented using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the main psychological therapy for the treatment of depression. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | A través del actual estudio de caso se desarrolla el tema de la depresión y se explica de manera detallada cuales son los factores biológicos, psicológicos y sociales que se ven involucrados en este trastorno mental, el principal objetivo de este proyecto fue determinar el grado de depresión que llegase a presenta un adulto mayor de 77 años de la parroquia San Carlos. En este estudio de caso se empleó como método la investigación mixta, aportando con los conocimientos desde su enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, las cuales facultaron abordar las variables del tema además que se localizan enfrascado en diversas temáticas en esta investigación, con el empleo de técnicas conforme al proceso tales como lo son: la entrevista semiestructurada, historia clínica, las baterías psicométricas como herramientas de la investigación los cuales son: Inventario de Depresión de Beck, Escala de Yesavage para Depresión Geriátrica determinando que el adulto mayor padece de 296.22 (F32.1) Trastorno Depresivo con episodio único moderado.
