dc.descriptionThis research project was carried out in order to determine the factors that are associated with malnutrition in children under 5 years of age who attend the Vergeles Health Center in the city of Guayaquil. Which, malnutrition is generated by the lack or excess of nutrients giving rise to malnutrition, problems of overweight and obesity. The methodology of this study is by the inductive and deductive method since they allow an analysis of the relevant facts of the data obtained from the silver variables, it is also a cross-sectional, descriptive and field investigation with a quantitative and qualitative modality since it occurs in a certain period of time and allowed to obtain real data on malnutrition in children under 5 years of age who attend the Vergeles health center. The results were obtained through the application of surveys, frequency of food consumption, 24-hour recall and anthropometric assessment, which helped to obtain relevant information in which the factors associated with malnutrition could be evaluated, and they were found. social, economic and nutritional factors. It can be concluded that the intake of food consumption is inadequate in children under 5 years of age and this is due to the ignorance of the parents, in which it allows them to acquire good quality and low-cost food.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEste proyecto de investigación fue realizado con el fin de determinar los factores que se asocian a la malnutrición en niños menores de 5 años que asisten al Centro de Salud Vergeles de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Lo cual, la malnutrición se genera por la falta o exceso de nutrientes dando lugar a una desnutrición, problemas de sobrepeso y obesidad. La metodología de este estudio es por el método inductivo y deductivo ya que permiten un análisis de los hechos relevantes de los datos obtenidos de las variables plateadas, además es una investigación transversal, descriptiva y de campo con modalidad cuantitativa y cualitativa ya que se da en un periodo de tiempo determinado y permitió obtener datos reales sobre la malnutrición en niños menores de 5 años que asisten al centro de salud Vergeles. Se obtuvo los resultados mediante la aplicación de encuestas, frecuencia de consumo alimentario, recordatorio de 24 horas y valoración antropométrica, que ayudo a la obtención de información relevante en el que se pudo evaluar a los factores que se asocian a la malnutrición, y se encontraron factores sociales, económicos y nutricionales. Se puedo concluir que la ingesta del consumo alimentario es inadecuada en los niños menores de 5 años y esto es a causa del desconocimiento de los padres de familia, en el que les permita adquirir alimentos de buena calidad y de bajos costos.es_ES
