dc.descriptionA good diet provides many health benefits, it influences the quality of the food, the quantity of food and the vital eating habits for the well-being of the human being, maintaining a balanced nutritional status, especially in this important stage of pregnancy. For this reason, this study aims to determine how the consumption of processed foods affects the nutritional status of pregnant women at the Lucha Obrera health center in Babahoyo Canton, Los Ríos Province. The methodology applied was through the deductive and inductive method, with a descriptive and observational character, its sample comprised a group of 50 pregnant women belonging to the Lucha Obrera health center; As a technique, an observation sheet was proposed where data on anthropometric measurements and the frequency of processed foods consumed were collected. The results showed that the pregnant women present normal measurements for the most part, however, several of them show low weight according to their trimester of pregnancy with an average index and in a greater proportion overweight and obesity and in relation to nutritional status, they mostly consume food processed and fat either frequently or very frequently. It was concluded that pregnant women do not have an adequate diet that provides benefits for their development and that of their baby, which led to the elaboration of a feeding guide focused on training on adequate eating habits with the use of organic foods with in order to improve their quality of life.es_ES

dc.description.abstractUna buena alimentación aporta muchos beneficios en la salud, influye la calidad de los alimentos, la cantidad de comida y los hábitos alimentarios vitales para el bienestar del ser humano manteniendo un estado nutricional balanceado sobre todo en esa etapa importante de la gestación. Por tal motivo este estudio tiene como objetivo determinar cómo afecta el consumo de alimentos procesados en el estado nutricional en gestante del centro de salud Lucha Obrera del Cantón Babahoyo, Provincia de los Ríos. La metodología aplicada fue mediante el método deductivo e inductivo , con carácter descriptivo y observacional, su muestra comprendió de un grupo de 50 gestantes pertenecientes al centro de salud lucha obrera; como técnica se propuso una ficha de observación donde se recopilaban datos de las medidas antropométricas y de la frecuencia de alimentos procesados que consumían . Los resultados reflejaron que las gestantes presentan medidas normales en su mayoría, sin embargo, varias de ellas muestran según su trimestre de embarazo bajo peso con un índice promedio y en mayor proporción sobrepeso y obesidad y en relación al estado nutricional, en su mayoría consumen alimentos procesados y grasas ya sea con frecuencia o mucha frecuencia . Se concluyó que las gestantes no cuentan con un adecuado régimen alimenticio que les provea beneficios para su desarrollo y el de su bebe, lo que conllevó a la elaboración de una guía de alimentación enfocada en la capacitación sobre hábitos alimenticios adecuados con uso de alimentos orgánicos con la finalidad de mejorar su calidad de vida.es_ES
