| dc.description | A chronically malnourished child is malnourished because they have not had enough nutrients to contribute to the proper development of the child from 0 to 3 years of age. Thus, the lack of healthy food, good home care and diseases are also factors that are detrimental to health. Likewise, we have social determinants such as poverty, economy, inequality and education, which are also one of the basic causes in the degree of chronic malnutrition. Since this is a problem that must be prevented, research was considered about the cases of chronic child malnutrition in CNH children of the "Angel Face 1" Care Unit located in the San José Precinct of the Vinces canton of the Province of Los Ríos, in order to try to guide families, reducing this type of health problems. This research was applied to boys and girls of the CNH, who were weighed and measured to determine their nutritional status. In this way, a survey was made to the family educator and mothers to determine the possible factors that cause malnutrition in children. For this purpose, an analysis of results was carried out to verify the percentage of children who present problems of chronic malnutrition, through the use of tabulations and graphs elaborated in Excel. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Un niño con desnutrición crónica, se da porque no han tenido la alimentación con suficientes nutrientes que aporten al buen desarrollo del niño y niña de 0 a 3 años de edad. De manera que la falta de alimentación saludable, buenos cuidados en el hogar y las enfermedades son factores que también perjudican en la salud. Así mismo, tenemos los determinantes sociales como la pobreza, la economía, la desigualdad y la educación, que son también una de las causas básicas en el grado de desnutrición crónica. En vista de que este es un problema que debe ser prevenido, se consideró la investigación acerca de los casos de desnutrición crónica infantil en los niños y niñas de CNH de la Unidad de Atención “Carita de Ángel 1” ubicada en el Recinto San José del cantón Vinces de la Provincia de Los Ríos, para tratar de orientar a las familias, disminuyendo este tipo de problemas de salud. Esta investigación se la aplicó a niños y niñas del CNH, a quienes se procedió a pesarlos y medirlos para poder determinar las condiciones del estado nutricional en que se encuentran. De tal manera, se realizó una encuesta dirigida a la educadora familiar y madres de familias para determinar los posibles factores que causan la desnutrición en los niños. Para ello se realizó un análisis de resultados para verificar el porcentaje de niños que presentan problemas de desnutrición crónica, mediante el uso de tabulaciones y gráficos elaborados en Excel. | es_ES |
