dc.descriptionThis case study focused on the analysis for the development of a prototype of an educational social network for the information systems career of the Faculty of Administration, Finance and Informatics. This project arose due to the learning difficulties presented by students in different subject areas of the career and how these affect their academic performance. The main objective was to analyze the necessary characteristics that a prototype of an educational social network for the information systems career should have. To achieve this objective, a qualitative methodology was used, which allowed a detailed approach to the needs and requirements, using interviews with a focus group of students and the career coordinator, which provided important information for the analysis. The results obtained through the interviews indicate that a prototype of an educational social network should have specific characteristics to meet the needs of students and teachers of the information systems career. These characteristics include the possibility of sharing information, creating work groups, sharing resources and categorizing learning modules. The study was able to analyze the necessary characteristics for the development of a prototype of an educational social network for the information systems career. The interviews and the qualitative methodology used were fundamental to obtain significant results, in conclusion, the development of a prototype of an educational social network could be very useful for students and teachers of the information systems career.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso de estudio se enfocó en el análisis para el desarrollo de un prototipo de red social educativa para la carrera de sistemas de información de la facultad de Administración, Finanzas e Informática. Este proyecto surgió debido a las dificultades de aprendizaje que presentan los estudiantes en diferentes áreas temáticas de la carrera y como estas afectan a su desenvolvimiento académico. El objetivo principal fue analizar las características necesarias que debe tener un prototipo de red social educativa para la carrera de sistemas de información. Para lograr este objetivo se utilizó la metodología cualitativa que permitió un acercamiento detallado a las necesidades y requerimientos, utilizando entrevistas a un grupo focal de estudiantes y al coordinador de la carrera, las cuales proporcionaron información importante para el análisis. Los resultados obtenidos a través de las entrevistas indican que un prototipo de red social educativa debe contar con características específicas para satisfacer las necesidades de los estudiantes y docentes de la carrera de sistemas de información. Entre estas características se encuentra la posibilidad de compartir información, crear grupos de trabajo, compartir recursos y categorizar módulos de aprendizaje. En el estudio se logró analizar las características necesarias para el desarrollo de un prototipo de red social educativa para la carrera de sistemas de información. Las entrevistas y la metodología cualitativa utilizada fueron fundamentales para obtener resultados significativos, en conclusión, el desarrollo de un prototipo de red social educativa podría ser de gran utilidad para los estudiantes y docentes de la carrera de sistemas de información.es_ES
