In the Center for Production of Minor Species of the Technical University of Babahoyo – Ecuador, the effect of two nutritional blocks made from pigeon pea husk flour (Cajanus cajan) at 10 and 20% was evaluated against a control treatment as a food supplement in guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) in the breeding stages, rearing and finishing for 12 weeks, 45 weaned animals were used distributed in three treatments each with three repetitions and 5 experimental units; evaluating the productive behavior, distributed with a completely randomized design (DCA), the experimental results obtained were subjected to an Analysis of Variance for differences (ADEVA), and the Separation of measures according to Tukey and Duncan at the significance levels of (P ≤ 0.05 and P ≤ 0.01). The results indicate that the best feed conversion was obtained with T1: 2.62 being the most efficient, however, with T1 the best results were obtained for the variables final weight 1366.13 (g); weight gain 952.47(g); carcass weight 1029(g); throughput at carcass 75 (%); consumption of green fodder 9683.33 (g); concentrate consumption 2413 (g); total consumption 7254.66 (g) and a Benefit/Cost of 1.80, according to the results obtained, should be considered as a food supplement within the production of cuyícolas in the tropics.es_ES
