dc.descriptionThis investigative work addressed the issue related to the use of mycorrhizae as a biofertilizer in corn cultivation to improve the yield and productivity results of this grass, especially in places where the assimilation of nutrients is difficult, due to various factors. The main objective of this research was to establish the importance of mycorrhizal fungi in the cultivation of corn in Ecuador through a bibliographic methodological approach in order to collect information using different sources of reliable information. The development of the theoretical perspective was obtained through analysis, synthesis and summary of the information obtained, using exploratory and explanatory research techniques. According to the data obtained, it was found that inoculation with arbuscular mycorrhizae to the seed or root significantly increases the yield and productivity of corn compared to control treatments where mycorrhizae were not used; In the same way, encouraging results were evidenced with respect to variables of nutrient absorption, seed insertion, yield and economic analysis. It was then concluded that the use of mycorrhizae in the cultivation of maize in Ecuador would currently become a promising strategy, with enormous potential to improve its production in a sustainable manner and reduce environmental impact.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEste trabajo investigativo abordó el tema relacionado al uso de las micorrizas como biofertilizante en el cultivo de maíz para mejorar los resultados de rendimiento y productividad de esta gramínea, especialmente en lugares donde se dificulta, por varios factores, la asimilación de los nutrientes. El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue establecer la importancia de los hongos micorrizos en el cultivo de maíz en el Ecuador por medio de un enfoque metodológico de carácter bibliográfico a fin de recopilar información utilizando diferentes fuentes de información fiables. El desarrollo de la perspectiva teórica se obtuvo mediante análisis, síntesis y resumen, de la información obtenida, empleando técnicas de investigación exploratoria y explicativa. Acorde a los datos obtenidos, se tuvo como resultados que la inoculación con micorrizas arbusculares a la semilla o la raíz, aumenta significativamente el rendimiento y la productividad del maíz en comparación con los tratamientos testigos donde no se empleó micorrizas; de igual manera se evidenciaron resultados alentadores con respecto a variables de absorción de nutrientes, inserción de semillas, rendimiento y análisis económico. Se concluyó entonces que el uso de micorrizas en el cultivo de maíz en Ecuador actualmente pasaría a ser una estrategia prometedora, con un enorme potencial para mejorar su producción de manera sostenible y reducir el impacto ambiental.es_ES
