dc.descriptionBased on the development of the case study, depression, and its incidence in the development of social skills have been developed as a theme, this analysis had as a general objective to establish how depression affects the development of social skills of an adolescent from the canton Montalvo. Depression is determined to be a common mental health disorder. Globally, an estimated 5% of adults suffer from this disorder. Depression has a significant influence on the development of social skills in adolescents. Recent studies have shown that there is a direct relationship between depression and school performance, low self-esteem, anxiety, guilt, and social isolation. In conclusion, it has been possible to assess the levels of depression presented by the adolescent through the application of the Beck Test to evaluate the severity of the depression where 27 points were thrown with a result of moderate depression where the emotional signs and symptoms were evidenced, physical, psychological and social, with the increase in the thought of committing suicide, for its part in the Hamilton scale 16 points were obtained where the presence of moderate depression is determined. As a recommendation, it is important that the necessary knowledge is applied to be able to contribute to this case of a patient who requires good treatment, as well as the application of the methodology based on the assistance that can be offered according to the emotional conditions that the patient is depressed.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn base al desarrollo del estudio de caso se ha desarrollado como tema la depresión y su incidencia en el desarrollo de las habilidades sociales, este análisis tuvo como objetivo general establecer de qué manera incide la depresión en el desarrollo de habilidades sociales de un adolescente del cantón Montalvo. Se determina que la depresión es un trastorno de salud mental común. La depresión tiene una influencia significativa en el desarrollo de habilidades sociales en adolescentes. Estudios recientes han demostrado que hay una relación directa entre la depresión y el rendimiento escolar, el bajo autoestima, la ansiedad, la culpabilidad, el aislamiento social. En conclusión, se ha logrado poder valorar los niveles de depresión que presentan el adolescente mediante la aplicación del Test de Beck para evaluar la severidad de la depresión donde se arrojó 27 puntos con un resultado de depresión moderada donde se evidenciaron los signos y síntomas emocionales, físicos, psicológicos y sociales, con el aumento del pensamiento de suicidarse, por su parte en la escala de Hamilton se obtuvieron 16 puntos donde se determina la presencia de depresión moderada. En recomendación, es importante que se aplique los conocimientos necesarios para poder aportar en este caso de un paciente que requiere de un buen trato, así como la aplicación de la metodología en base a la asistencia que se le puede ofrecer de acuerdo con las condiciones emocionales que se encuentre el paciente depresivo.es_ES
