| dc.description | The general objective of this case study is to evaluate the inventory management system of the company Plastivill S.A of the city of Babahoyo; Specific objectives are used to analyze the various definitions and theories of the authors that are related to inventory management and decision making. You also diagnose the status of inventory management at Plastivill S.A and make recommendations on implementing an inventory management system according to the needs of the company. In the management of Plastivill S.A there is no inventory control or accounting system, that is, information on production costs, it changes every time under the influence of inflation, there is no control over the price, income, cost and profit of estate, in many cases the current cost of the products is unknown and they are sold for the same previous price. Cluttered and poorly managed warehouses cause inventory to expire and degrade over time. Theoretical foundations, concepts and topics of various authors related to inventory management and its impact on decision making have been created. The methodology with which it started was with the qualitative and quantitative modalities, also the descriptive method and the line of research. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo general de este estudio de caso es evaluar el sistema de gestión de inventario de la empresa Plastivill S.A de la ciudad de Babahoyo; se utilizan objetivos específicos para analizar los variadas definiciones y teorías de los autores que están relacionados con la gestión de inventarios y en la toma de decisiones, también diagnosticas el estado de la gestión de inventarios de Plastivill S.A y hacer recomendaciones sobre implementar un sistema de gestión de inventarios acorde a las necesidades de la empresa. En la gerencia de Plastivill S.A no hay control de inventario ni sistema de contabilidad, es decir información sobre costos de producción, cambia cada vez bajo la influencia de la inflación, no hay control sobre el precio, los ingresos, el costo y la ganancia de bienes, en muchos casos se desconoce el costo actual de los productos y se venden por el mismo precio anterior. Los almacenes desordenados y mal manejados hacen que el inventario caduque y se degrade con el tiempo. Se han creado fundamentos teóricos, conceptos y temas de diversos autores relacionados con la gestión de inventarios y su impacto en la toma de decisiones. La metodología con la que se partió fue con las modalidades cualitativas y cuantitativas, también el método descriptivo y la línea de investigación. | es_ES |
