dc.descriptionThe present case study has been developed with the purpose of evaluating the severity of depression in a 22-year-old person from the city of Milagro, in which practical theoretical knowledge that was acquired during the process of learning psychology is present. clinic with the purpose of knowing the most affected aspects when suffering from this disorder. Consequently, Depression Disorder is one of the most common disorders today, which affects not only the person who is suffering from it, but also the people closest to him/her. It is reflected with symptoms of deep sadness, stomach problems, insomnia, discomfort in the body, withdrawal among others. The consequences can be serious if it is not controlled in time, because a person with severe depression can even have suicidal thoughts. Therefore, in the following case study, we worked with techniques such as: psychological interviews, clinical history, clinical observation, and with the application of tests: Beck Depression Inventory, Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Zung Depression Scale, the used to obtain a presumptive prognosis. From the cognitive behavioral therapy approach, therapy that was chosen for the psychotherapeutic intervention, in which four techniques were chosen, which were very helpful for the patient to understand the negative thoughts that were affecting him in his day to day, work in them also having positive thoughts and in this way continue improving their quality of life.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso ha sido desarrollado con la finalidad de evaluar la severidad de la depresión en una persona de 22 años, de la ciudad de Milagro, en cual se hacen presentes aquellos conocimientos teóricos prácticos que fueron adquiridos durante el proceso de aprendizaje de psicología clínica con el propósito de conocer los aspectos más afectados al padecer este trastorno. Por con siguiente el Trastorno de Depresión es uno de los trastornos más comunes en la actualidad, que afecta no solo a la persona que lo está padeciendo, sino también a las personas más cercanas a él/ella. Se ve reflejado con síntomas de tristeza profunda, problemas estomacales, insomnio, malestares en el cuerpo, retraimiento entre otros. Las consecuencias pueden ser graves si no es controlado a tiempo, porque una persona con depresión severa puede tener hasta pensamientos suicidas. Por ende, en el siguiente estudio de caso se trabajó con técnicas como: entrevistas psicológicas, historia clínica, observación clínica, y con la aplicación de test: Inventario de depresión de Beck, Escala de Ansiedad de Hamilton y Escala de Depresión de Zung, los que sirvieron para obtener un diagnóstico presuntivo. Desde el enfoque de terapia cognitiva conductual, terapia que fue escogida para la intervención psicoterapéutica, en la cual se escogieron cuatro técnicas, que sirvieron de mucha ayuda para que el paciente logre entender los pensamientos negativos que le estaban afectando en su día a día, trabaje en ellos teniendo también pensamientos positivos y de esta manera siga mejorando su calidad de vida.es_ES
