As the human being develops from childhood to adulthood, he faces difficult situations that often seem impossible to solve, generating great stress when facing them. It implies the manifestations of the organism of a physiological, emotional or behavioral type in the presence of stressors, and, finally, stress as an event-reaction relationship becomes the set of coping strategies of the subject in the face of stressors. Stress in general is not harmful as long as the threatening stimulus is real. It is known that stress causes a homeostatic imbalance and consequently the activation of adaptive mechanisms to the new situation of difficulty that is assumed as serious by the organism. What we are trying to accomplish in this case study is to determine how post-traumatic stress influences the family relationships of a 13-year-old adolescent who is in upper basic at the June 23 educational unit in the Baba canton. Through the use of psychological techniques such as clinical history and psychometric batteries, in order to obtain as a result signs and symptoms and indicators necessary for the fulfillment of the objective. To conclude with the congruences and divergences of the work, as well as the achievements obtained and to propose the respective recommendations for future research, taking into account that in the family environment any traumatic situation greatly affects the smallest members of the family, for that reason For this reason, the fact of carrying out this type of study encourages the prevention of the violation of children's rights.es_ES
