This document deals with the effects of biol in melon cultivation and its impact on yield. The conclusions obtained showed that the use of organic fertilizers allows increased tolerance to adverse weather conditions, these products being ecological and compatible with the environment, not polluting the soil; biol is a liquid fertilizer that results from the fermentation and decomposition process of organic materials, which activate beneficial microorganisms in the soil, its mode of application is foliar although it can also be used as a root fertilizer and even as a solution in a system fertigation; It helps to chelate the minerals so that they are absorbed by the absorbent root hairs, increasing the production of the melon crop by keeping the plant healthy, accelerating its growth, flowering and development. In addition, it conserves nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium better due to the anaerobic decomposition process, which allows the nutrients to be fully used; in turn, the nitrogen it contains is in an ammoniacal form that is easily assimilated; melon cultivation, subjected to biol applications to the foliage, allows to improve production and productivity of crops, especially increasing resistance to pests and diseases; the use of biols as disease controllers is much more recent where the inhibitory effect of biols against some phytopathogenic fungi has been demonstrated and reduces production costs, therefore it is an economic alternative that can be adopted by farmers for increase yields.es_ES
