dc.descriptionThe present clinical case is about a 45-year-old male patient, who after presenting various episodes of nausea, itching, headaches and general malaise, attended a consultation and based on the blood studies carried out for his values elevated creatinine and urea is diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney disease. The anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary nutritional evaluation is carried out, where a weight of 46 kg is presented, with a height of 165 cm and a body mass index of 17 Kg/m2. Within the biochemical parameters, it presents alterations in the indicators of urea and creatinine. The objective of this case study is to improve the nutritional status of patients with chronic kidney disease. A 2,100-kcal, low-sodium, high-calorie, low-protein diet, low in phosphorus and potassium, divided into 4 meal times, is prescribed. In conclusion, the nutritional status of the patient was improved, according to the parameters evaluated there is a weight gain of 3 kg in one month, decreased urea, creatinine and electrolyte values, hemoglobin and hematocrit within normal parameters, improved physical and clinical signs. notoriously and in the dietary aspect good adherence to dietary treatment.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente caso clínico se trata de un paciente de sexo masculino de 45 años de edad, quién luego de presentar diversos episodios de náuseas, prurito, dolores de cabeza y malestar general, asistió a consulta y en base a los estudios sanguíneos realizados por sus valores elevados de creatinina y urea es diagnosticado con enfermedad renal crónica en estadio 3. Se realiza la evaluación nutricional antropométrica, bioquímica, clínica y dietética, dónde se presenta un peso de 46 kg, con una talla de 165 cm y un índice de masa corporal de 17 Kg/m2. Dentro de lo parámetros bioquímicos presenta alteraciones en lo indicadores de urea, creatinina, electrolitos, hemoglobina y hematocrito. El objetivo de este estudio de caso es mejorar el estado nutricional del paciente con enfermedad renal crónica, se le preescribe dieta de 2100 kcal, hiposódica, hipercalórica, hipoprotéica, baja en fósforo y potasio, fraccionada en 4 tiempos de comida. En conclusión, se mejoró el estado nutricional del paciente, según los parámetros evaluados existe una ganancia de peso en un mes de 3 kg, valores de urea, creatinina y electrolitos disminuidos, hemoglobina y hematocrito dentro de los parámetros normales, signos físicos y clínicos mejorados notoriamente y en el aspecto dietético buena adhesión al tratamiento dietoterapéutico.es_ES
