Arterial hypertension is one of the frequent diseases during pregnancy, considered one of the first causes of maternal and neonatal death. Currently this health problem arises at 21 weeks of gestation, it manifests with clinical signs of edema, proteinuria and altered levels of blood pressure among others, the risk factors that increase the incidence of this disease are the genetic factor, obesity, overweight, low intake of calcium, iron and folate in the diet which increase the prevalence of this condition each year. The objective of our research case focused on carrying out a process of nutritional care in an 18-year-old adolescent with problems of preeclampsia and iron deficiency anemia, through which a nutritional assessment was carried out through anthropometric, biochemical, clinical and dietary data. promoted an eating plan where aspects such as age, sex, socioeconomic level and current problems of the patient were considered, and a low-sodium diet was established divided into 5 meal times, three main meals and two snacks, including foods rich in iron, calcium, folic acid and vitamin C among others to improve the quality of life of the patient in turn reducing maternal and neonatal mortality. Through the follow-ups that were carried out on the patient in a month, an adequate weight gain was obtained, her blood pressure levels were normalized and the edema of her lower part decreased.es_ES
