dc.description | Obesity in adolescents is currently more frequent and has doubled in the last thirty years, complications of obesity in adults being very common, it is considered that obese young people are more vulnerable to developing arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes. The present clinical case is of a 14-year-old adolescent patient who attends a medical consultation due to obesity and moderate anemia, the nutritional care process is carried out with the aim of improving her nutritional status. The general objective is to improve the nutritional status of the 14-year-old adolescent patient through the nutritional care process. The nutritional status of the 14-year-old adolescent patient was evaluated using the anthropometric method with growth curves as tools, assessing it with the use of cut-off points or standard deviations in the weight/age indicators, where he presented a very high weight for age with a percentile >97, height/age presented a normal height for age with 0 SD and in BMI/age indicator of >3 SD indicating that she has obesity, with the biochemical method it was observed that the patient presented hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia and moderate anemia, in In the clinical method, the patient had a pycnic biotype, had pale facies, a thick neck with acanthosis nigricans, moderate hair loss, pale moist mucous membranes, depigmentation, and brittle nails. hypercaloric, high carbohydrate and hyperlipidic intake. dc.description.abstract | Actualmente la obesidad en el adolescente es más frecuente y se ha duplicado desde hace treinta años, siendo muy común las complicaciones de la obesidad en los adultos se considera que los obesos jóvenes son más vulnerables a desarrollar hipertensión arterial y diabetes tipo 2. El presente caso clínico es de una paciente adolescente de 14 años que acude a consulta médica por presentar obesidad y anemia moderada, se realiza el proceso de atención nutricional con el objetivo de mejorar su estado nutricional. El objetivo general es mejorar el estado nutricional del paciente adolescente de 14 años de edad a través del proceso de atención nutricional. Se evaluó el estado nutricional del paciente adolescente de 14 años usando el método antropométrico con las curvas de crecimiento como herramientas valorándolo con el uso de puntos de cortes o desviaciones estándares en los indicadores peso/edad donde presentó un peso muy elevado para la edad con un percentil >97, talla/ edad presentó una talla normal para la edad con 0 DS y en indicador IMC/edad de >3 DS indicando que tiene obesidad, con el método bioquímico se observó que la paciente presentó hipercolesterolemia, hipertrigliceridemia y anemia moderada, en el método clínico la paciente era biotipo pícnico, tenía facies pálidas, cuello grueso con acantosis nigricans, caída de cabello moderada, mucosas húmedas pálidas, despigmentación y uñas quebradizas y en el método dietético la paciente presentó mediante la anamnesis alimentaria y el recordatorio de 24H una ingesta hipercalórico, alta en carbohidratos e hiperlipídica. A través de todo el proceso de atención nutricional se logró mejorar el estado nutricional del paciente adolescente de 14 años de edad demostrando la eficacia del tratamiento a través de las evidencias detalladas en el seguimiento. | es_ES |
