The Nursing Care Process applied to a 28-year-old female patient who comes to the emergency area in the company of her son who reports a clinical picture of more or less 3 days of evolution with intense headache 10/10 on the VAS scale, polyuria, loss of of coordination and balance, amaurosis fugax and mild cognitive impairment of memory. Vital signs were taken, showing blood pressure: 100/70mmHg, heart rate: 80xmin, respiratory rate: 19xmin, axillary temperature: 36.7ºC and oxygen saturation: 97%, weight 65kg and height 158cm. A peripheral line is placed for the administration of pain therapy. Neurological evaluations, computerized axial tomography (CAT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are performed. As well as laboratory tests, blood counts, urinalysis and coagulation factors. Once the results of the laboratory and complementary tests are obtained, it is evident that it is a case of hydrocephalus. The patient was stabilized and transferred to the hospitalization area, to prepare for a surgical intervention with a referral system. We proceed to the elaboration of the Nursing Care Process in order to provide the appropriate care that the patient needs during his hospitalization and thus meet the objectives proposed in this case study.es_ES
