dc.descriptionThe present research work is aimed at the relationship of social networks during the Covid-19 pandemic with the quality of the information received by the inhabitants of the Buena Fé Canton, year 2021, this study aims to determine the effect of the intensity access to news false in social networks related to Covid-19 at the level of public disinformation. The spread of the coronavirus disease is the first pandemic characterized by the massive use of technology and social networks to keep people safe, informed, productive and connected. At the same time, the technologies on which our ability to communicate and receive information depend are generating and amplifying an infodemic that continues to undermine the effectiveness of the global response and threatens to undermine efforts to combat the pandemic. In this situation, the opinion of the population is divided and part of it leads to the spread of false information to the extreme level, it is inevitable when misinformation invades all areas of our lives, people do not know who or what to believe and They often make inappropriate decisions that endanger public safety and life itself. The results were obtained, through the type of descriptive research that allowed the analysis of data in the form of describing the collected data, the research technique such as the survey was used and the method used is convenience sampling, it was applied due to the emergency situation we are going through. The survey was applied to 100 people from the Buena Fé Canton, between 25 and 37 years of age and older, in order to counteract the infodemic and help break the chain of misinformation by pausing and thinking before sharing this or that material. After the analysis, it was concluded that part of the existence of COVID-19 makes communication and the media become a labyrinth, and that it is increasingly clear that we will not be able to face the pandemic without eliminating disinformation. dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación va dirigido a la relación de las redes sociales durante la pandemia Covid-19 con la calidad de la información recibida por los habitantes del Cantón Buena Fé, año 2021, este estudio pretende determinar el efecto de la intensidad acceder a noticias falsas en las redes sociales relacionadas con Covid-19 en el nivel de desinformación pública. La propagación de la enfermedad por coronavirus, es la primera pandemia caracterizada por el uso masivo de la tecnología y las redes sociales para mantener a las personas seguras, informadas, productivas y conectadas. Al mismo tiempo, las tecnologías de las que depende nuestra capacidad para comunicarnos y recibir información están generando y amplificando una infodemia que continúa socavando la eficacia de la respuesta global y amenaza con socavar los esfuerzos para combatir la pandemia. En esta situación, la opinión de la población está dividida y parte de ella conduce a la difusión de información falsa hasta el nivel extremo, es inevitable cuando la desinformación invade todas las áreas de nuestras vidas, las personas no saben a quién o qué creer y, a menudo, toman decisiones inadecuadas que ponen en peligro la seguridad pública y la vida misma. Se obtuvieron los resultados, por medio del tipo de investigación descriptivo que permitió el análisis de datos en la forma de describir los datos recopilados, se empleó la técnica de investigación como la encuesta y el método utilizado es muestreo por conveniencia, se lo aplico debido a la situación de emergencia que estamos pasando. La encuesta se aplicó a 100 personas del Cantón Buena Fé, de entre 25 a 37 años de edad en adelante, para poder contrarrestar la infodemia y ayudar a romper la cadena de desinformación haciendo una pausa y pensando antes de compartir este o aquel material. Luego del análisis se llegó a la conclusión de que parte de la existencia de COVID-19 hace que la comunicación y los medios se conviertan en un laberinto, y que cada vez es más claro que no podremos hacer frente a la pandemia sin eliminar la desinformación en línea, Sin embargo, esto se puede solucionar con educación sobre la comunicación y los medios, especialmente los medios digitales.es_ES
