dc.descriptionThrough the passage of time, the human being has continuously searched for the source of eternal youth; the investigative progress that there is currently regarding the human genome, getting to welcome a hope to forge in reality this longing to be preserved in physical and mental context stationed in a predetermined, comfortable and pleasant age period. However, in Ecuador this activity has not reached the desired parallelism of intervention, and even more with the current pandemic context, and specifically in the population group of older adults, with this precedent allows to generate interest in delving into this topic and learn perceptions of the elderly, what are their habits and recognize the benefits of this physical activity towards improving their lifestyles. The researcher part of this work, after a quick observational evaluation carried out in the Barrio Nueva Esperanza of the parish of La Unión, has managed to establish that, currently the components of comprehensive care and promotion of physical activity for the elderly have been relegated by issues not established by the local authorities, this burnout towards older adults makes them vulnerable to sedentary lifestyles which will produce an inadequate lifestyle for this age group.es_ES

dc.description.abstractA través del paso del tiempo el ser humano ha buscado continuamente la fuente de la juventud eterna; el progreso investigativo que hay actualmente en respecto al genoma humano, consiguiendo acoger una esperanza para forjar en realidad este anhelo de conservase en contexto físico y mental estacionado en una periodo etario predeterminado, cómodo y placentero. No obstante, en el Ecuador esta actividad no ha alcanzado el paralelismo de intervención anhelado, y más aún con el contexto pandémico actual, y en específico en el grupo poblacional de los adultos mayores, con este precedente permite generar interés en ahondar en esta temática y conocer percepciones de las personas mayores, cuáles son sus hábitos y reconocer los beneficios de esta actividad física hacia la mejora de sus estilos de vida. La parte investigadora del presente trabajo, posterior a una evaluación observacional rápida realizada en el Barrio Nueva Esperanza de la parroquia La Unión; han logrado establecer que, actualmente los componentes de la atención integral y promoción de actividad física para el adulto mayor se han relegado por cuestiones no establecidas por las autoridades de la localidad, este quemeimportismo hacia los adultos mayores da cabida a que sean vulnerables ante el sedentarismo lo que producirá un estilo de vida inadecuado para este grupo etario.es_ES
