The objective of this research project was to analyze the incidence of a program of recreational activities for the promotion of the health of adolescents in the Zapotal Campus, in the Ventas Canton, Los Ríos Province. Methodology: An investigation with a mixed approach (quali-quantitative), with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and a descriptive-correlational type, was initiated. We worked with a non-probabilistic sample of 44 subjects: 93.18% adolescents (52.27% men and 40.9% women) and 6.82% teachers/authorities; for the first group, the universal quality of life questionnaire "SF36" was applied, while for the second group a structured questionnaire of "interview" questions was used. Results: 8 fundamental aspects that comprise the indicators of the state of health in the adolescents of the Zapotal Campus were evaluated: On the one hand, physical health: (physical function, physical role, body pain, general health) and on the other hand, the health mental (vitality, social function, emotional role and mental health). The adolescents evaluated present a state of physical health that is “not very acceptable”; while, with respect to the second indicator, the evaluated adolescents had an "acceptable" state of mental health. For the validation of the hypothesis, a confidence level of 95% and a probability value of 0.05 are established. A value of "8.904" was obtained in the Pearson Chi-Square test; value that exceeded the rejection zone (0.05 < 8.904). For which the alternative hypothesis is based and the null hypothesis is contrasted. H1: A program of recreational activities does have a significant impact on promoting the health of adolescents in the Zapotal Campus, Ventanas Canton, Los Ríos Province. Proposal: A program of recreational activities promoting health in adolescents in the Zapotal Campus, Cantón Ventanas, Los Ríos Province is proposed.es_ES
