| dc.description | This case study was carried out in the Province of Los Ríos, a tourist destination that has relevant natural resources. Its main objective is to identify tour guides’ English level as a contribution to the tourist development of the province of Los Ríos, for the incentive of English language training. For the study’s purposes, the type of qualitative and descriptive research was used, in addition to the bibliographic methods and interviews with the tourist guides of the province. The results of this research provide data on the number of tour guides in the province of Los Ríos and data from the analysis of the tourism guides' English level, which contributes greatly to be able to fulfill the objective of identifying the tour guides' English level and its contribution to tourism. This case study established the degree tour guides' English level of the Province of Los Ríos is intermediate, mostly the level of English is type B1. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso se realizó en la Provincia de Los Ríos, destino turístico que posee recursos naturales relevantes. La investigación tiene como objetivo principal, identificar el nivel de inglés de los guías turísticos como aporte al desarrollo turístico de la provincia de Los Ríos, para el incentivo de capacitaciones del idioma inglés. Para efectos del estudio se utilizó el tipo de investigación cualitativa y descriptiva, además de los métodos bibliográficos y de entrevistas con los guías turísticos de la provincia. Los resultados de la siguiente investigación aportan datos de la cantidad de guías turísticos de la provincia de Los Ríos y datos del análisis del nivel de inglés en los guías, lo cual contribuye de gran manera para poder cumplir el objetivo de identificar el nivel de inglés de los guías turísticos y su aporte al turismo. El presente estudio estableció que el grado del nivel de inglés por parte de los guías turísticos de la Provincia de Los Ríos es intermedia, en su mayoría el nivel de inglés es de tipo B1. | es_ES |
