| dc.description.abstract | El abandono al adulto mayor es una problemática común en el Ecuador; desde el aspecto cultural en la actualidad la perspectiva que se tiene sobre el adulto mayor es la de ser una carga económica para la familia, a continuación se podrá observar el proceso de la intervención psicológica en un caso de abandono familiar y las consecuencias que este tiene en el estado emocional de un adulto mayor, en el cual se trabajó el sistema de creencias centrales basado en la teoría cognitiva conductual, también se observan resultados de baterías psicométricas encargadas de medir el deterioro de los procesos cognitivos del adulto mayor, y otros encargados de verificar la existencia de síntomas clínicos de trastornos neurótico, como síntomas depresivos y ansiosos, y su severidad. | es_ES |
