| dc.description | In the present research work, the purpose is to determine the relationship between news coverage and the risk of journalists in the Babahoyo canton. The problem raised is oriented to the occupational risks of journalists in the exercise of the right to communicate, the same ones that can generally result in physical and verbal aggressions, this situation becomes risks for the social communicator. In the methodological part, the design is non-experimental because no experiments are carried out, the research is qualitative at a descriptive level, using the survey technique and to collect the data it was done online through the Google drive form, in where 42 journalists responded. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded that journalists are exposed to physical harm and persecution, within this approach the respondents fully agree with more than 50%, therefore, this problem should be taken into account as an alert by the different actors in the area of social communication with the intention of reducing the risk of journalists in their communication work, so this work is recommended for future research related to the subject under investigation. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | En el presente trabajo de investigación es con la finalidad es determinar la relación entrela cobertura de noticias y el riesgo de los periodistas en el cantón Babahoyo. La problemática planteada se orienta a los riesgos laborales de los periodistas en el ejercicio del derecho a comunicar, los mismos que pueden resultar en agresiones físicas y verbales generalmente, esta situación se tornan riesgos para el comunicador social. En la parte metodológica, el diseño es no experimental porque no se realizan experimentos, la investigación es cualitativa en un nivel descriptivo, usando la técnica de la encuesta y para recolectar los datos se lo realizo en línea a través del formulario de Google drive, en donde dieron respuesta 42 periodistas. Como resultado de la investigación se logró como conclusión que los periodistas están expuestos a daños físicos y persecución, dentro de este planteamiento los encuestados están totalmente de acuerdo más del 50%, por lo tanto, esta problemática debe ser tomada en cuenta como una alerta por los diferentes actores del área de comunicación social con la intención de disminuir el riesgo de los periodistas en su labor de comunicación, por lo que se recomienda este trabajo para futuras investigaciones relacionadas a la temática investigada. | es_ES |
