| dc.description | Diabetes mellitus type II is a pathology that goes hand in hand with obesity and seriously affects Ecuador, being the third cause of death in the country, an indicator that should cause the population to have a better quality of food to obtain a healthy life. And avoid suffering from this disease. The patient is a 47-year-old female who weighs 71 kg and is 1.50 meters tall. She was assessed with anthropometric measurements and indicated a nutritional diagnosis of obesity grade l since his body mass index is 31 kg/m2. The patient was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus 7 years ago. He went to the Martin Icaza General Hospital to the emergency area because he presented signs and symptoms of paleness, blindness, and fainting that characterizes him as Dizziness. For which he refers that he does not have an established or indicated treatment to control his pathology, in terms of relevant biochemical tests, his glycosylated hemoglobin values are outside normal parameters, which reveals that the patient has uncontrolled diabetes. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La Diabetes Mellitus tipo II es una patología que va estrechamente de la mano con la obesidad y afecta gravemente al Ecuador, siendo la tercera causa de fallecimiento en el país, indicador que debe motivar a la población a llevar una mejor calidad alimentaria para obtener una vida sana y evitar el padecimiento de esta enfermedad. La paciente es de sexo femenino de 47 años de edad, pesa 71 kg y su talla es de 1.50 metros. Se la valoró con medidas antropométrica y nos indica un diagnostico nutricional de obesidad grado l ya que su índice de masa corporal es de 31 kg/m2. La paciente fue diagnosticada con Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 hace 7 años. Acude al Hospital General Martin Icaza, al área de emergencia por que presenta signos y síntomas, como palidez, ceguera y desmayo, que lo caracteriza como mareo. Por lo cual refiere que no tiene un tratamiento establecido o indicado para controlar su patología, en cuanto a exámenes bioquímicos relevantes sus valores de hemoglobina glicosilada se encuentra fuera de los parámetros normales lo que nos revela que el paciente tiene una diabetes no controlada. | es_ES |
