dc.descriptionThe educational system in Ecuador has evolved gradually in such a way that, at present, English as a foreign language is integrated as a subject within the study plans at the basic, intermediate and higher educational level, regulated by the type of proficiency level that students must have at the end of their school stage. The use of open digital educational resources contributes to the cognitive development of students for active learning in relation to the context in which they operate. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the technological strategies applied by the teacher to improve the teaching of the English language in students of the basic cycle of the Educational Unit “Dr. Víctor Emilio Estrada” Vinces 2020 - 2021. The results of the research indicate that technological strategies are required that provide collaborative, personalized, flexible and attractive learning for students, contributing to the creation of innovative resources that allow improving the teaching-learning process of the English language. Teachers also play a fundamental role in the development of the teaching process for the acquisition of a language. dc.description.abstractEl sistema educativo en el Ecuador ha evolucionado de manera gradual de tal manera que en la actualidad se encuentra integrado como asignatura el idioma inglés como lengua extranjera dentro de los planes de estudio a nivel educativo básico, medio y superior normado el tipo de nivel de suficiencia que los estudiantes deben tener al culminar su etapa escolar. El uso de recursos educativos digitales abiertas contribuye en el desarrollo cognitivo de los estudiantes para el aprendizaje activo en relación al contexto en el que se desenvuelven. Por ello, el propósito de esta investigación es analizar las estrategias tecnológicas aplicadas por el docente para mejorar la enseñanza del idioma inglés en los estudiantes del ciclo básico de la Unidad Educativa “Dr. Víctor Emilio Estrada” Vinces 2020 - 2021. El método de investigación utilizado fue con un enfoque mixto y de alcance descriptivo y explicativo y para la recolección de información se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta dirigida a los docentes que estaba estructurada con una escala de Licker de cinco alternativas en cada una de las preguntas. Los resultados de la investigación indican que se requiere de estrategias tecnológicas que proporcionen un aprendizaje colaborativo, personalizado, flexible y atractivo para los estudiantes, contribuyendo en la creación de recursos innovadores que permiten mejorar el proceso de enseñanza - aprendizaje del idioma inglés. Los docentes también cumplen un rol fundamental en el desarrollo del proceso de enseñanza para la adquisición de un idioma.es_ES
