| dc.description | The purpose of this research is to analyze tourism safety and its impact on the perception of the tourist in order to identify the factors that influence tourism safety in the canton because currently the city of Quevedo has an unfavorable image as a result of the events that occur within the city and are the focus of attention to those who want to travel and know this destination. Security is an indispensable factor for the human being since it is the one that provides physical or psychological protection. Tourism safety refers to the set of rules that protect and protect the tourist while developing the tourist activity. For the development of this research, the qualitative methodology was applied, which allowed through the deductive method to analyze the information in the course of the research work. Therefore, this research will present strategies for tourism safety in the canton of Quevedo allowing tourists to enjoy a safe tourism that favors the economic development of the canton. The perception of a tourist destination will be the result of several factors such as: reviews of people who have visited the place, what is perceived through the news, social networks and newspapers that generate positive or negative perspectives of the city. By collecting information through the survey, it has become evident that one of the limitations that tourists have to visit the city of Quevedo is security, since most of them express a perception of regular security, which means that there are shortcomings regarding the police protection that should be increased for the development of tourism activities of people who visit the canton. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tiene como propósito analizar la seguridad turística y su incidencia en la percepción del turista con el objetivo de identificar los factores que influyen en la seguridad turística en el cantón debido a que en la actualidad la ciudad de Quevedo tiene una imagen desfavorecedora como consecuencia de los acontecimientos que se dan dentro de la ciudad y son el foco de atención hacia aquellas personas que quieran viajar y conocer este destino. La seguridad es un factor indispensable para el ser humano puesto que es aquel que le brinda protección sea física o psicológica. Al tratar de seguridad turística se refiere al conjunto de normas que protegen y amparan al turista mientras desarrolla la actividad turística. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se aplicó la metodología cualitativa la que permitió a través del método deductivo analizar la información en el transcurso del trabajo de investigación. Por ende, con esta investigación se presentarán estrategias para la seguridad turística del cantón Quevedo permitiendo así que los turistas disfruten de un turismo seguro que favorezca al desarrollo económico del cantón. La percepción que se tenga de un destino turístico será el resultado de varios factores tales como: reseñas de personas que hayan visitado el lugar, lo que se percibe mediante las noticias, redes sociales y periódicos los mismos que generan en las personas perspectivas positivas o negativas de la ciudad. Mediante la recopilación de información a través de la encuesta se ha evidenciado que uno de los limitantes que tienen los turistas para visitar la ciudad de Quevedo es la seguridad ya que la mayoría manifiesta una percepción de la seguridad regular lo que significa que existen carencias referentes al resguardo policial que debe incrementarse para el desarrollo de la actividad turística de las personas que visitan el cantón. | es_ES |
