| dc.description | With a contribution to the productive sector of $ 2,414 million between the year 2020 - 2021, which is equivalent to 2.2% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), tourism represents important figures in the generation of resources for Ecuador, in this way the Isla Santay has become an important contributor to the tourism sector for Guayaquil since many tourists are attracted by its natural attractions, where they can perform different activities that are closely related to nature. The tourist impact that has developed on Santay Island has been positive, benefiting each of its inhabitants who, adhering to the rules of the law, have created enterprises to satisfy the demands for goods and services of those who visit the place, thus generating resources economic, sources of employment directly and indirectly promoting economic development and improving the lifestyle of its inhabitants. The island community is made up of 56 families, which in part have the responsibility of caring for the natural environment, in turn developing certain lucrative activities which are allowed by the Ministry of Tourism. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Con un aporte al sector productivo de $2.414 millones de dólares entre el año 2020 - 2021 lo que equivale al 2,2% del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) el turismo representa cifras importantes en la generación de recursos para el Ecuador, de esta manera la Isla Santay ha pasado a ser un importante contribuyente en el sector turístico para Guayaquil debido a que muchos turistas son atraídos por sus atractivos naturales, donde pueden realizar diferentes actividades que están estrechamente relacionada con la naturaleza. El impacto turístico que se ha desarrollado en la isla Santay ha sido positivo beneficiando a cada uno de sus habitantes que apegándose a las normas de ley han creado emprendimientos para satisfacer las demandas de bienes y servicios de quienes visitan el lugar, de esta manera generan recursos económicos, fuentes de empleo de forma directa e indirecta impulsando el desarrollo económico y mejorando el estilo de vida de sus habitantes. La comunidad de la isla está constituida por 56 familias, las cuales en parte tienen la responsabilidad de cuidar el entorno natural, a su vez desarrollan ciertas actividades lucrativas las cuales están permitidas por el Ministerio de Turismo. | es_ES |
