| dc.description | Memes have now become a worldwide trend and their use grows every time, reaching the point of getting involved with social, economic and political issues. The main objective of the case study was to analyze memes as an evolution of the means of social expression: Lenin Moreno case. That style of content became widely shared during the Lenin Moreno government. The development of the theoretical framework is based on bibliographic sources of the topic of interest. In addition, a mixed approach methodology was proposed, with a special observation of the most popular memes that dealt with the former president in 2019, and of a survey carried out on 50 citizens, between 18 to 40 years old, with a bank of 10 questions, which allowed obtaining first-hand information. According to the analytical-synthetic method carried out, it is concluded that memes are a clear example of the evolution of social expressions, but since this type of publication was created to generate humor, but on many occasions the information displayed may be false. And that memes were so popular during Moreno's term because of their bad way of running the government and addressing the nation. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Los memes actualmente se han convertido en una tendencia mundial y que cada vez su utilización crece, llegando hasta el punto de involucrase con temas sociales, económicos y políticos. El objetivo principal del estudio de caso fue analizar los memes como evolución de los medios de expresión social: caso Lenin Moreno. Volviéndose muy compartido aquel estilo de contenido durante el gobierno de Lenin Moreno. El desarrollo del marco teórico se basa en fuentes bibliográficas del tema de interés. Además, se planteó una metodología de enfoque mixto, con una observación especial a los memes más populares que tratan del exmandatario en el año 2019, y de una encuesta realizada a 50 ciudadanos, entre 18 a 40 años, con un banco de 10 preguntas, el cual permitió obtener información de primera mano. De acuerdo con el método analítico – sintético realizado, se concluye que los memes son un claro ejemplo de evolución de las expresiones sociales, pero como ese tipo de publicación fue creado para generar humor, pero en muchas ocasiones la información expuesta puede ser falsa. Y que los memes fueron tan populares durante el mandato de Moreno por su mala forma de llevar el gobierno y de dirigirse a la nación. | es_ES |
