| dc.description | Computer advances played a fundamental role in communication during 2020, a time when a new normal was experienced, a pandemic that arose worldwide and, unleashed aversion to physical contact, restriction and distancing measures were imposed that they forced people to look for other alternatives to see and talk with their relatives, to go to study without going to school, medical teleconsultations, telework among others. This case study was carried out in order to determine how the group video call had an impact as a social trend during the 2020 confinement, It was carried out in the Montalvo canton, Los Ríos province, using a quantitative methodology, the data collection tools were the interview and the survey reaching three hundred thirty six people with the latter. As results of this work, it was found that 93% of the people surveyed did not make video calls until confinement occurred, this means that video calls became a trend in 2020, many of the applications that allow the use of This tool evolved and improved achieving competition among them, being among the most used WhatsApp, Zoom and Google Meet. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Los avances informáticos jugaron un papel fundamental dentro de la comunicación durante el año 2020, tiempo en que se vivió una nueva normalidad, una pandemia que se suscitó a nivel mundial y, desató la aversión al contacto físico, se impusieron medidas de restricción y distanciamiento que obligaron a las personas a buscar otras alternativas para ver y hablar con sus familiares, llegar a estudiar sin ir al colegio, tele consultas médicas, tele trabajo, entre otras. Este estudio de caso se efectuó con la finalidad de determinar cómo incidió la video llamada grupal como tendencia social durante el confinamiento 2020, se ejecutó en el cantón Montalvo provincia Los Ríos, utilizando una metodología cuantitativa, las herramientas de recolección de datos fueron la entrevista y la encuesta llegando con esta última a tres cientos treinta seis personas. Como resultados de este trabajo se encontró que el 93% de las personas encuestadas no hacía video llamada hasta que se dio el confinamiento, esto quiere decir que, la video llamada se volvió tendencia en el 2020, muchas de las aplicaciones que permite el uso de esta herramienta evolucionaron y mejoraron logrando la competencia entre ellas, estando entre las más usadas Whatsapp, Zoom y Google Meet. | es_ES |
