The human being is sociable by nature but the various symptoms that patients with generalized anxiety disorder (TAG) show at the cognitive, physical, emotional, affective and behavioral levels, tend to affect relationships. For this reason, this study focuses on elucidating the theme of generalized anxiety disorder and its incidence in the interpersonal relationships of a 44-year-old woman. The objective of the research is focused on determining the effect of the disorder on interpersonal relationships. To obtain information, a bibliographic research and a practical approach with the patient was used in different sessions, where the speech is contemplated. The clinical method, case study and psychometric method were also implemented, for which the techniques were used: Beck's anxiety inventory and Hamilton's anxiety scale. Likewise, techniques such as clinical interview, direct observation and clinical history were applied. Ultimately, the proposal of a therapeutic scheme is made to work this type of cases, said psychological intervention is based on the cognitive behavioral therapy of Aaron Beck. Based on the above, the results obtained indicate that the pandemic and the loss of the father by Covid-19 have been the triggers of the patient's symptoms to such an extent that it affects her relationship with the people closest to the environment. Therefore, it is concluded that TAG has a great impact on the different contexts that the subject with TAG develops, such as family, social, work, among others. Seeing diminished interpersonal relationships of the same.es_ES
