dc.descriptionDysfunctional thoughts are all those distorted ideas that alter the behavior and emotional state of an individual. Within the model of cognitive psychotherapy, these dysfunctional thoughts are known as cognitive distortions. The alterations of the emotional state, also known as, mood disorders, are divided into two large groups, depressive and bipolar disorders. Bipolar disorders are made up of a manic/hypomanic episode and a depressive episode, in addition, it is classified into three, cyclothymia, type I and type II bipolar disorder. The main symptoms within an episode of mania are made up of excessive happiness and a feeling of greatness, opposite to the main symptoms of an episode of depression, these being deep sadness and feelings of worthlessness. The cognitive distortions experienced the symptoms of the episode in which the individual is currently and even according to the episode of said episode the cognitive distortions themselves will be different.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLos pensamientos disfuncionales son todas aquellas ideas distorsionadas que alteran la conducta y el estado emocional de un individuo. Dentro del modelo de la psicoterapia cognitiva, a dichos pensamientos disfuncionales se los conoce como distorsiones cognitivas. Las alteraciones del estado emocional, también conocidas como trastornos del ánimo, se dividen en dos grandes grupos, trastornos depresivos y bipolares. Los trastornos de bipolaridad se componen de un episodio de manía/hipomanía y de un episodio de depresión, además, se clasifica en tres, ciclotimia, trastorno bipolar tipo I y tipo II. Los principales síntomas dentro de un episodio de manía se conforman por una felicidad excesiva y un sentimiento de grandeza, totalmente opuesto a los principales síntomas de un episodio de depresión, siendo estos una tristeza profunda y sentimientos de inutilidad. Las distorsiones cognitivas aumentan los síntomas del episodio en el que el individuo esté actualmente e incluso dependiendo de dicho episodio las propias distorsiones cognitivas serán distintas.es_ES
