OTT (over-the-top) services are content available through an internet connection without the provider having control over them. This protocol, as well as the IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) service, promise great economic growth in the Netflife Plus company, given that currently most homes have an Internet connection and smart televisions, and people also seek to enjoy their Free time from the comfort of your home or another place, the company by providing a new service will attract the attention of new customers and other older ones, which will allow to generate more income. However, it is important to analyze the cost of implementing the aforementioned services, to make the most viable decision. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso fue realizado en la empresa “Neflife Plus” de la Parroquia Rural de La Unión del Cantón Babahoyo, la cual es una empresa de telecomunicaciones proveedora de internet de Ultra Alta Velocidad a través de Fibra Óptica hasta el hogar, la finalidad del mismo es el diseño del servicio de contenido multimedia basado en protocolo OTT para la red de clientes GPON. Los servicios OTT (over-the-top) son contenidos disponibles a través de una conexión a internet sin que el proveedor tenga control sobre los mismos. Este protocolo, tanto como el servicio IPTV (Television por Protocolo de Internet) prometen un gran crecimiento económico en la empresa Netflife Plus, dado que actualmente la mayor parte de los hogares cuentan con conexión a Internet y televisores inteligentes, además las personas buscan disfrutar su tiempo libre desde la comodidad de su hogar u otro lugar, la empresa al proveer un servicio nuevo captará la atención de nuevos clientes y de otros más antiguos, lo que permitirá generar más ingresos.
