| dc.description | This work gives rise to the formulation of the clinical case with the topic of Nursing Care Process in adolescents with acute appendicitis. This case was presented at the Liborio Panchana Sotomayor General Hospital in the City of Santa - Elena. For this clinical case, it was possible to carry out a review of an investigation that delves into acute appendicitis, risk factors, nursing care, through the clinical history, general habits and the follow-up that the nurse performs. It also investigates more in the theoretical framework on acute appendicitis where it is reported with more authors. Acute appendicitis is one of the most common causes of pathologies in adolescents and one of the main emergencies for which patients enter an operating room, this is due to appendicular obstruction and fecal thickening due to fecaliths or appendicoliths. The most common causes of appendicitis is the obstruction of the appendix, which causes an infection, which if not treated in time this can rupture and cause peritonitis. Acute appendicitis is characterized by pain at the epigastric or periumbilical level, accompanied by high temperature, vomiting (it can occur rarely), nausea that makes surgical intervention faster. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo da lugar a la formulación del caso clínico con el tema de Proceso de Atención de enfermería en adolescente con apendicitis aguda. Este caso se presentó en el Hospital General Liborio Panchana Sotomayor de la Cuidad de Santa – Elena. Para este caso clínico se pudo realizar la revisión de una investigación en donde se profundiza sobre la apendicitis aguda, sintomatología, factores de riesgo, diagnóstico y se elaboró un plan de cuidados en el que se estableció las intervenciones de enfermería que se realizaron en el paciente. También se indaga más en el marco teórico sobre la apendicitis aguda donde se relata con más autores. La apendicitis aguda es una de las causas más comunes de patologías en los adolescentes y una de las principales emergencias por lo que los pacientes ingresan a un quirófano, esto se da por la obstrucción apendicular y el espesamiento fecal por fecalitos o apendicolitos. Las causas más comunes de la apendicitis es el recubrimiento por obstrucción del apéndice lo que esto provoca una infección, que si no es atendida a tiempo esto puede romperse y provocar una peritonitis. La apendicitis aguda se caracteriza por dolor a nivel del epigastrio o periumbilical, acompañado de temperatura alta, vómitos (puede presentarse rara vez), náuseas que hace que su intervención quirúrgica sea más rápida. | es_ES |
