dc.descriptionIn the present investigative work, the influence of digital communication media on the cultural identity of adolescents in the Mi País sector of Quevedo canton was evaluated. To do this, a diagnosis was made on the perception of adolescents; the identification of the current conditions of the interaction of adolescents and the digital media; and the development of a digital campaign that promotes the preservation of the cultural identity of adolescents. The study included the compilation of documentary information in the databases: Google Scholar, Communication and Mass Media Complete (EBSCO), PsycINFO, Scielo and Redalyc, through the use of exclusion and inclusion criteria; In addition, a survey was carried out aimed at adolescents in the “My Country” sector, applied to 30 adolescents with an age range of 10-15 years, structured by multiple-choice questions. The survey data were tabulated and treated using descriptive statistics. As a result of the research, it was determined that adolescents use digital communication media in large numbers, recognizing that they have different options to which they access such as: blogs, web pages and social networks, reaching worrying conclusions such as the large number of time they spend on these sites, relegating to the background and even eliminating different activities such as sports from their lives. Regarding cultural identity, it was observed that digital communication media have made a notable difference in the change in the ethical and moral values of adolescents, and in their traditions; In addition, there is evidence of a loss of respect and empathy, for which the application of a digital communication campaign that involves the different actors in the environment of the My country sector is proposed.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn el presente trabajo investigativo se evaluó la influencia de los medios de comunicación digital en la identidad cultural de los adolescentes del sector mi país del cantón Quevedo. Para ello se recurrió a la realización de un diagnóstico sobre la percepción de los adolescentes; la identificación de las condiciones actuales la interacción de los adolescentes y los medios de comunicación digital; y la elaboración de una campaña digital que promueva la conservación de la identidad cultural de los adolescentes. El estudio incluyó la recopilación de información documental en las bases de datos: Google Scholar, Communication and Mass Media Complete (EBSCO), PsycINFO, Scielo y Redalyc, mediante el uso de criterios de exclusión e inclusión; además se procedió a la realización de una encuesta dirigida a los adolescentes del sector “Mi País”, aplicada a 30 adolescentes con rango de edad de 10-15 años, estructurada por preguntas de opción múltiple. Los datos de la encuesta fueron tabulados y tratados mediante el uso de estadística descriptiva. Como resultado de la investigación se pudo determinar que los adolescentes utilizan en gran cantidad los medios de comunicación digital, reconociendo que tienen diferentes opciones a las cuales acceden como son: blogs, páginas web y redes sociales, llegando a conclusiones preocupantes como la gran cantidad de tiempo que pasan en estos sitios, relegando a segundo plano e incluso eliminándolo de sus vidas diferentes actividades como el deporte. En lo referente a la identidad cultural se observó que los medios de comunicación digital han inferido de forma notable en el cambio de los valores éticos y morales de los adolescentes, y en sus tradiciones; además se evidencia una pérdida del respeto y la empatía, para lo cual se plantea la aplicación de una campaña de comunicación digital que involucra a los diferentes actores del entorno del sector Mi país.es_ES
