| dc.description | The case study presented is aimed at identifying how the use of ICTs influences the work development of the personnel of the Document and Archive Management Unit of the Technical University of Babahoyo, this is intended to be done starting from the detection of the root of the problem to then continue with the development of the literature of the same and finally conclude with the solution proposals for the problem raised. This is a highly relevant issue within the university. It is currently essential that Information and Communication Technology be incorporated into the business environment because it significantly contributes to the progress of the institution, in this case, the implementation of a Document management system in the Study Unit promotes the streamlining of their work activities by renewing the documentation management practices in such a way that the effective work development of the collaborators is possible. Through descriptive research, the most relevant topics on the importance and usefulness of ICTs in the business sector are exposed, as well as the basic strategies required to carry out the document digitization process, all of this consulted in bibliographic sources with scientific endorsement. For its part, it was essential to use the survey technique to apply a questionnaire of specific questions to the collaborators of the Document and Archive Management Unit to obtain first-hand information on the influence that ICTs have on their work development. This is how through this research it has been exposed to an evident problem in the Technical University of Babahoyo so that the necessary measures are taken to achieve the efficient work development of its collaborators using ICTs strategically for the exercise of their functions. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El estudio de caso presentado está orientado a identificar cómo influye la utilización de las TIC’s en el desarrollo laboral del personal de la Unidad de Gestión Documental y Archivo de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, esto se pretende realizar partiendo de la detección de la raíz del problema para luego continuar con el desarrollo de la literatura del mismo y finalmente concluir con las propuestas de solución para la problemática planteada. Este es un tema con mucha relevancia dentro de la universidad debido a que actualmente es imprescindible que se incorpore la Tecnología de la Información y Comunicación al ámbito empresarial debido a que aporta significativamente al progreso de la institución, en este caso, mediante la implementación de un sistema de gestión documental en la Unidad de estudio se promueve la agilización de sus actividades laborales renovando las prácticas de manejo de documentación de tal manera que sea posible el desarrollo laboral efectivo de los colaboradores. Mediante la investigación descriptiva se exponen los tópicos más relevantes sobre la importancia y utilidad de las TIC’s en el sector empresarial, así como las estrategias básicas requeridas para llevar a cabo el proceso de digitalización de documentos todo esto consultado en fuentes bibliográficas con aval científico. Por su parte, fue indispensable utilizar la técnica de la encuesta para aplicar un cuestionario de preguntas puntuales a los colaboradores de la Unidad de Gestión Documental y Archivo con el fin de obtener información de primera mano sobre la influencia que tienen las TIC’s para su desarrollo laboral. Es así como a través de esta investigación se le ha dado exposición a una problemática evidente en la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo para que así se tomen las medidas necesarias para conseguir el desarrollo laboral eficiente de sus colaboradores utilizando estratégicamente las TIC’s para el ejercicio de sus funciones. | es_ES |
